The problem is that emulation isn't flawless and it's in Japanese. To be honest, I would recommend Samurai Warriors 3 Z for the PS3. I have those platforms and those are the games I played first in this kind of games. If you want everyone to be different, 5 isn't for you bud You'll notice this the most when you experience the dual sword wielders (Tokugawa and Shikanosuke) and how they differ. Character's do have a preferred weapon, which allows them to perfom unique attacks and makes everyone feel powerful in their own way. I don't remember what exactly SW4-II has but I distinctly remember hating that game mode.ģ: SW5 has movesets per weapon, not per character. There's of course the story, and then there's citadel mode, which a bunch of short area defense missions with a few objectives in each map. If you're looking for the standard sized character pool, you'll be dissapointed as the playable roster (minus unique npcs) is less than half of what modern musou games have.Ģ: SW5 is pretty limited as far as game modes go. Right so, a few things to note that may or may not curb your enthusiasm:ġ: SW5 is more or less ENTIRELY focused on the rise and fall of Nobunaga Oda. I like to have a reason to play specific characters that arent my favorites rather than unlocking everything with only a couple of characters. I love the system in HW, FEW and DW8 where you start with 1 'star' weapons and unlock more by increasing difficulty or completing special objectivesĪlso I love when these games force me to play different characters for post-story modes, like Adventure mode in HW, where you had missions of different kinds, some of which were locked to specific characters/weapons. I dont care much for story in these games, I care about movesets, game modes and specially unlocking weapons/costumes for characters. I've never played a SW game, ive played DW8XL, Hyrule Warriors, Pirate warriors 3 and 4 and FE Warriors. Some things about what I'm looking for that might help with the recommendation: Ive looked at SW4 ll, SW spirit of sanada and SW 5. Im currently in a Warriors/Musuo phase, and I'm curious to try a Samurai Warriors game. If your post randomly disappeared, it's probably because it has already been posted.
